Rafael Crespo-García

Rafael Crespo-García (male) is Senior Lecturer on Mathematical Analysis in the University of València; member of the Board of Government of the RSME (Royal Spanish Mathematical Association); member of Scientific Committee of the annual Seminario sobre actividades para estimular el talento precoz (2011 until 2018); president of the Scientific Committee of the I Congress CTEM of the Comunitat Valenciana (2016); president-coordinator of the Program ESTALMAT (Estímulo Talento Matemático en la Comunidad Valenciana), for managing young mathematical talent at the Valencia Community, since 2007. Also, he is coordinator of Program PROFUNDIZA, Ministry of Education (Spain) 2011, a scientific immersion program for high school students; chief Coordinator of the VLC Summer Scientific Campus (University of Valencia & Polytechnic University of Valencia), organized by the FECyT (Spanish Foundation of Science and Technology), every year in July since 2011; coordinator and professor in the Science and Technology Program for elderly at La Nau Gran (University of Valencia) 2011-2015. Coordinator of Mathematic subjects for the access exams to the University of Valencia, from 2013 to 2016. Advisor, in STEM teacher training group, of the Conselleria de Educació, Investigació, Cultura i Esports de la Generalitat Valenciana (Local Government), 2015-2016. He has imparted seminars and courses in national and international universities like at University of Azuay (Cuenca, Ecuador). He has held some academic positions: Dean of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences (2005-2015), Vice-rector of Postgraduate Studies (2015- in office), member of Claustro of the University of Valencia (2008-2013) (2013-2017) (2017- in office), and “Patrono” of the Fundación General de la Universitat de València (2015- in office).

He has co-writted Libro Blanco de las Matemáticas (2020) published by RSME and Areces Foundation.
