Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse how the Spanish digital press addresses homeopathy and identify the attributes linked to this practice. An analysis was carried out of a linguistic corpus comprised of content on homeopathy drawn from the three most widely read digital Spanish newspapers (El País, El Mundo and ABC) for the period 2012 to 2016 using T-LAB, version 9.1.2. The results reveal that the terms most frequently related to homeopathy are ‘medicine’, ‘science’, ‘therapy’, ‘university’ and ‘efcacy’. In addition, four thematic groups linked to homeopathy are identifed: health, academic, disease and pseudotherapy.
