ScienceFlows takes part in the 1st Scientific Conference on Quality and Information Challenges

On the 18th and 19th October, the “I Jornadas Científicas de Calidad y Retos informativos” (I Scientific Conference on Quality and Information Challenges), was held at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication of the University of Valencia, organized by the working group “Journalism and quality information” of the Spanish Association of Communication Research (“Asociación Periodismo e información de calidad” de la Asociación Española de Investigación de la Comunicación” or AEIC).

Researchers from different universities, both national and international, met for two days to share and discuss the results of their work. This work was of an interdisciplinary nature and ranged among a wide variety of topics; from the study of the representation of gender violence, to the information treatment of  foreign citizens by the media, to the violence of ISIS, passing through historical memory.

Lorena Cano and Isabel Mendoza, members of the Scienceflows group, presented the preliminary results of the research they are carrying out about the representation / perception of homeopathy in Spanish digital media in the period 2015-2016.
